If the training is relevant to your job and you had paid for it, you may claim training allowance at $4.50 per hour.
To qualify for training allowance, the individual must:
Complete and pass the course (minimum 75% attendance);
Show that the training is relevant to his/her’s job;
Have paid for his/her own training; and
Not be barred from receiving SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) / Workforce Singapore (WSG) / Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) grants
From 1 Jan 2018, individuals are only required to make one trip down to any of their preferred WSG's Careers Connect or NTUC's e2i centres within 120 days after the course end date, to apply and submit the claim application.
Individuals are to bring along the following original documents:
WTS notification letter (course must be taken within the validity period stated in the letter)
Valid bank book or statement
Certification slip (from your Training Provider)
Any of the following employment documentation (to show you are employed in a job relevant to the training)
I. Employment Letter / Contract of Service or equivalent, dated within 3 months from the date of claim;
II. Any one month’s payslip / CPF statement showing employer’s contribution, dated within 3 months from the date of claim;
Accounting and Corporate Regulatory (ACRA) business registration and business transaction document (for self-employed)
In view of the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker till 1 Jun 2020, if you do not wish to make a trip down to WSG's Careers Connect or NTUC's e2i centres, you may submit the claim online within 120 days after the course end date.
Should you choose to submit your claim online, you may be required to produce documentary proof to demonstrate your employment upon request by SSG/WSG.
