
From Passion to Profession: Embark on a mid-career switch into Nursing
Nurses assess patients’ physical and mental health, perform clinical procedures, help patients improve or maintain their health and educate patients and their families on health matters. They work with a team of professionals to provide the safe and smooth delivery of patient care every day. Teamwork, communication skills and attention to details are important.
CCPs for Nurses
The Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) for Nurses provide the opportunity and funding for mid-career individuals to acquire mandatory qualifications and skills to be Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses.
The three types of CCPs for Nurses are:
1. CCP for Enrolled Nurses [CCP-EN]
2. CCP for Registered Nurses (Diploma) [CCP-RN (Diploma)]
3. CCP for Registered Nurses (Degree) [CCP-RN (Degree)]
Monthly starting base salaries for Nurses
In the public healthcare sector, the monthly starting base salary* for:
- a fresh Enrolled Nurse graduate is $2,050. CCP-EN graduates will be able to draw higher starting salaries of up to $2,500.
- a fresh Registered Nurse graduate with diploma qualifications is $2,730. CCP-RN (Diploma) graduates will be able to draw higher starting salaries of up to $3,320.
- a fresh Registered Nurse graduate with degree qualifications starts from $3,650. CCP-RN (Degree) graduates will be able to draw higher starting salaries of up to $4,440.
*Excludes fixed allowances, overtime pay, bonuses and increments for Honours or National Service for eligible males. Please refer to Care to Go Beyond website for more information.
The higher starting salaries for CCP graduates are dependent on their years of prior work experience.
Which CCP is the right one for me?
Candidates who possess these qualifications may apply for the respective CCPs:

CCP-EN | 3 GCE ‘O’ Level Grades (Grade 1-8) in English and Science and (Grade 1-7) in Mathematics |
CCP-RN (Diploma) | Bachelor degree (non-Nursing related) |
CCP-RN (Degree) | Bachelor degree (non-Nursing related) AND possess a local polytechnic diploma in a science-related field (non-Nursing) or any two H2 or GCE ‘A’ credits (Grades A to E) in Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Physics and Mathematics |

CCP-EN

CCP-RN (Diploma)
The application window for the April 2026 intake is open from 8 September 2025 to 3 November 2025. For more information on the CCP-RN (Diploma), its full entry requirements and to submit an application, please visit https://go.gov.sg/ccp-rn-dip.
CCP-RN (Degree)
