PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy (the "Policy") is between Workforce Singapore Agency (“WSG”) and you. The words "we", "us" and "our" shall refer to WSG.

By submitting the volunteer Career Advisors advisee sign-up form (“Form”), you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years old and you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions of this Policy as amended from time to time. In the event that you are below eighteen (18) years of age, you confirm that you have your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent ("Requisite Consent") to the terms of this Policy. 

1. Introduction and Scope of this Policy

We take your privacy very seriously and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy sets out how we collect, use and protect Personal Data (as defined below) which you have provided to us through the submission of the Form.

"Personal Data" refers to personally identifiable information about you including your name, phone number, email address and contact details, and other personal information.

2. Data Collected

By submitting the Form, you shall be deemed to have consented to the collection and retention by WSG all the information provided in the Form, including your Personal Data and employment history (“Additional Personal Data”). 

We may also collect other information directly from you ("Data") through any other data and information you provide us with by whatever means of communication.

All Personal Data, Additional Personal Data and Data collected from you shall be done in accordance with this Policy (collectively referred to as "Collected Data").

3. Retention, Use and Storage of Collected Data by WSG

The Collected Data may be used by us for the following reasons:
(a) to share and provide you with information on the volunteer Career Advisors initiative; 
(b) to enable us to contact you; 
(c) to provide services and resources pertaining to employment development; and 
(d) for our internal account handling, business and administrative purposes. 

We store the Collected Data in a combination of secure computer storage facilities and other records. To safeguard the Collected Data, all electronic storage and transmission of personally identifiable information are secured with appropriate security technologies. 

4. Sharing of Collected Data

We may share the Collected Data from you with other Government agencies and statutory boards in order to serve you in a most effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation.

We will not share your Personal Data and/or Additional Personal Data with any non-Government entities other than in limited circumstances including the following:
(a) where third party companies perform services for us, including but not limited to email delivery, hosting and payment processing, or for the purpose of providing you with the services that you request from us. However, these companies will only be entitled to use your personal information in order to provide the services requested by us or as may be required by law; or
(b) where third parties (including the volunteer Careers Advisors) are engaged or appointed by us specifically for purposes related to the volunteer Career Advisors initiative, which require your Personal Data and/or Additional Personal Data; or
(c) where necessary to protect the safety of third parties, to protect our rights and property and the rights and property of third parties, or in other cases if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law; or
(d) your consent has been obtained for disclosure.

5. Marketing Communications

If you should consent, from time to time you may receive from us a variety of communications, including but not limited to newsletters, emails and text messages (the "Marketing Communications"), that will include service updates, product advertising and offers related to our services which we believe you may be interested in.

At any time, you may change your Marketing Communications preferences, either by:
(a) electing to opt out from the Marketing Communications sent to you by following the ‘unsubscribe’ link which can be found at the bottom of the emails; or
(b) contacting our team directly using the ‘Contact Us’ option, found in the email we sent.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time and at our sole discretion. Although most changes are likely to be minor, we encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to the Policy. 

7. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of Singapore and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts. In the event any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Policy including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, WSG and you shall at first instance take reasonable efforts to settle and resolve such disputes in good faith and in an amicable manner by negotiation.
