About the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Placement Partners Initiative
The SGUnited Jobs and Skills Placement Partners (SGUJS PP) initiative aims to increase the placement of local jobseekers who are mature, long-term unemployed, or persons with disabilities, into qualifying jobs and attachments. It complements the Government’s existing job matching efforts by tapping on the extensive networks and job matching expertise of employment agencies. The initiative also supports the wider objective of the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package to provide jobs, attachments, and skills training opportunities to Singaporeans affected by the economic impact of COVID-19.
Through this initiative, MOM and WSG hope to provide local jobseekers with additional channels to access professional career matching services and opportunities suited to their skills and aspirations.
Who can benefit from the SGUJS Placement Partner Initiative?
Under this initiative, SGUJS Placement Partners will provide employment facilitation services to local jobseekers who meet at least one of the following criteria:
Aged 40 and above (based on calendar year)
Unemployed for 6 months or more; or
A person with disability
Jobseekers who do not meet the criteria can still tap on the services offered by any of our SGUJS Placement Partners in their capacity as licensed employment agencies, tap on WSG's Career Matching Services or NTUC-e2i’s Career Centres.
Eligible jobseekers are encouraged to sign-up for the SGUJS Placement Partner initiative through the respective SGUJS Placement Partners’
dedicated links below. Eligible jobseekers who sign up through the dedicated channels will enjoy additional support from the respective SGUJS Placement Partners, such as having a dedicated point of contact, job search consultations, and regular status
updates.
What can jobseekers expect from SGUJS Placement Partners?
As an eligible jobseeker, you can tap on SGUJS Placement Partner’s employer networks and recruitment capabilities as an employment agency to actively support your job search journey. Appointed SGUJS Placement Partners are expected to put in place dedicated measures and additional efforts to help eligible jobseekers secure job placements and attachment enrolments. They will provide basic career advisory, share interview tips related to each industry or skillsets, and assist you in your personal career branding to better showcase you to prospective employers.
Upon signing up, SGUJS Placement Partners will request for your resume and contact you to understand your current skills, strengths, career interest and goals. Based on your profile, they will source for opportunities through their employer networks and attempt to match you to available job openings. Should there be no immediate suitable opportunities, SGUJS Placement Partners will continue to keep an eye out, as they source for new opportunities through their employer networks. Should you be shortlisted for an interview with a hiring organisation, the SGUJS Placement Partner will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. During this process, you will be provided a dedicated point of contact and regular updates on the status of your job search.
As SGUJS Placement Partners support your job search journey, we encourage you to continue tapping on other job search avenues, such as the MyCareersFuture portal, to increase your chances of a successful job search. Jobseekers who require assistance
with their job search or on how to access jobs and opportunities of the SGUnited Jobs and Skills package can also approach Workforce Singapore (WSG) and NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), including through the 24 SGUnited
Jobs and Skills Centres across Singapore. In addition, we encourage you to keep an open mind to new opportunities and consider less familiar roles or sectors so as to maximise your options.
