Career Supervision Programme (CSP)
The Career Supervision Programme (CSP) is a blended learning programme which combines 3 days sessions with interactive online study. CSP provides learners with better understanding of the complexity of the role of clinical career supervisor. Learners will gain greater insights on how to apply supervisory strategies, supervision models, evaluation processes and demonstrate and feedback models, which provide frameworks to guide learners in their supervisory journey with your supervisees.

What is CSP and Who is it for?

The Career Supervision Programme (CSP) is a blended learning programme which combines 3 days sessions with interactive online study. CSP provides learners with better understanding of the complexity of the role of clinical career supervisor. Learners will gain greater insights on how to apply supervisory strategies, supervision models, evaluation processes and demonstrate and feedback models, which provide frameworks to guide learners in their supervisory journey with your supervisees.


The 3 competencies  of the Career Supervision Programme are:


  1. Supervise career development practitioners

  2. Manage quality of career services

  3. Evaluate ethical, legal and professional issues in education and career advisory

There are two pathways to attain the Career Supervision Programme (CSP).


a. Training and Assessment Pathway: Participant will undergo self-paced e-learning followed by a 3-day classroom-based training. Participant will attain the qualification if they are assessed competent.


b. Assessment-Only Pathway (AOP): The AOP recognises an individual’s knowledge and skills acquired through prior learning and work experience. It provides an option for individuals to attain the WSG CSP certification directly through assessment without undergoing training. Participant will attain the qualification if they are assessed to be competent.

Entry Requirement

a. Completed WSG Career Facilitation Programme (CFP)

b. WSG CDF credential holder (CCA/CCP) OR fulfilled 360 contact/face-to-face hours (both individual or group)

c. Company letter, detailing:

i. Roles and duties as a clinical supervisor (past/current/future role) leading a team of career practitioners

ii. Start date for above role/duties

iii. Frequency and length of supervision provided; and

iv. A company letterhead with company stamp is required and signed by your direct reporting officer

a. Completed WSG Career Facilitation Programme (CFP)
b. WSG CDF credential holder (CCA/CCP) OR fulfilled 360 contact/face-to-face hours (both individual or group)
c. Be recommended for AOP by his immediate supervisor/employer
d. The applicant must complete the Assessment Readiness Self-Evaluation Checklist for the respective modules, and possess at least 60% of the competencies listed under the assessment criteria for each module

Participants who meet and successfully complete and passed all stipulated assessments with minimum of 75% attendance, will be awarded with the WSG Career Supervision Programme Certificate of Completion.


The Career Supervision Programme is part of the WSG Career Development Framework (WSG CDF) for Career Practitioners. This is a practice-based credentialing framework. Course fee payment can now be made online for self-sponsored individuals. Once course registration is confirmed, an email notification will be sent to the registered self-sponsored individual regarding the course fee payment to WSG. The link provided will allow participants to make payment using eNETS, credit/debit card, or their SkillsFuture credits for partial or full course fee payment.


E-invoices will be issued for company-sponsored participants.

Terms and Conditions

Course Enrolment


a) Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and fulfil all requirements for course registration to be accepted into the course. Workforce Singapore Agency (WSG)'s decision on the outcome of the course registration is final.


b) All information provided in the registration form and supporting document (i.e. Company Sponsorship Form or Letter of Confirmation for self-sponsored applicants) must be true and correct. Applicants must not deliberately omit and/or misrepresent any material information or fact. Any false information or misleading declaration shall render the applicant liable for disqualification from the course and the applicant will be charged the full course fee (i.e. the course fee amount before any subsidy, training support, grants or funding).


c) Company-sponsored course applicants must ensure that the company and/or entity sponsoring their course application is their direct employer who will be paying for the full or nett course fee to qualify for SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) course fee subsidy. “Direct employer” refers to the employer that pays the applicants’ salary and provides the applicant with other statutory benefits (such as CPF contribution, medical benefits, leave etc). The employer’s Unique Entity Number (UEN) is a mandatory field in the Company Sponsorship Form and should be that of the direct employer. If the UEN provided is not the same as the direct employer’s UEN, the applicant will not be eligible for SSG’s course fee subsidy and the applicant will be charged the full course fee (i.e. the course fee amount before any subsidy, training support, grants or funding).


d) Applicants who are accepted for the course will receive a notification email, informing them of the course fee payable and instructions on course fee payment. Course fee payment must be made before course commencement.


e) Self-sponsored applicants will only be enrolled into the course upon full payment of course fee. For company-sponsored applicants, e-invoices will be sent based on the billing and contact person’s details provided by the direct employer in the Company Sponsorship Form.

 

Course Fee Subsidy, Training Support, Grants and Funding 


 

Enrolled participants must (in addition to any other applicable eligibility criteria) meet the following criteria to be eligible for SSG subsidy, training support, grants or funding:

 

a) Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR);

 

b) Meet at least 75% attendance for all modes of training for the course; 

 

c) Assessed as “competent” for each module or end-of-course assessment; and

 

d) SSG subsidy, training support, grants or funding are only given to those who have met the above requirement. Participants who are unable to meet the above requirements will not be eligible for SSG subsidy, training support, grants or funding and will be required to pay the shortfall in course fee (i.e. the subsidy, training support, grants or funding amount) to WSG.

 

Course/Assessment Deferment


a) Participants who failed to meet the attendance and assignment requirements for the course will not be allowed to sit for assessment.


b) They are required to put up a request for course and/or assessment deferment in writing using the prescribed Deferment Form obtainable from the course administrator. The request must be received by the course administrator at least five (5) working days from the course/module start date or the assessment start date.


c) The following non-refundable fee is payable for each deferment request. Such a request will be processed upon payment of the full fee.

Absence during Assessment


Participants who are unable to sit for their assessment must inform the assessor and the Course Administrator in advance. Participants will be given a 15-minute grace period for lateness after which they will be considered as “absent” for their assessment and will be awarded the grade of “Not Yet Competent”.

 

 

Re-assessment


a) Participants who did not submit their assignments or did not sit for their assessment or those assessed as “Not Yet Competent” at the end of their assessment are required to sit for re-assessment. Not more than two (2) re-assessments are allowed for a course.


b) A request for re-assessment must be made in writing to the course administrator. The request should reach the Course Administrator not later than three (3) working days from the date of their scheduled assessment.


c) The following non-refundable Reassessment Fee is payable for such a request.

The request for reassessment will be processed upon payment of the full fee. Participants will be informed of the outcome of their request within five (5) working days from the date of request.

 

Course Withdrawal


a) An enrolled participant may be allowed to withdraw from a course due to valid reason. Only withdrawal due to medical condition and on compassionate grounds will be considered as valid reasons. The participant will be charged and shall be required to pay for the full course fee payment (i.e. the course fee amount before any subsidy, training support, grants or funding) for any withdrawal without valid reason.  The SSG subsidy, training support, grants or funding is only given to those who fully attended the course and meet the requirements set out above. 


    b) For a company-sponsored applicant, the company may replace the enrolled participant with another participant from the same company who meets the eligibility criteria for the course.


    c) For course withdrawal due to valid reason, the participant shall be required to pay the course fee amount as outlined in the table below:

    d) For SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) eligible courses, upon course withdrawal, the SFC will be cancelled.  To avoid doubt, for withdrawal without a valid reason, the participant will be required to pay the full course fee (i.e. the course fee amount before any subsidy, training support, grants or funding) to WSG. For withdrawal with a valid reason, the participant shall be required to pay the course fee amount as set out in paragraph c) above.
